CCA responds to impact of federal action on access to gender affirming care

The Center for Children’s Advocacy is alarmed that our federal government’s intrusion into the private medical decisions of families is forcing Connecticut healthcare providers and health care facilities around the country to cease comprehensive healthcare for trans youth. Every child deserves necessary medical care, including trans youth. CCA knows, both from extensive scientific literature and our own experience fighting for the rights of all children and youth, that young people thrive when they get the emotional and medical support they need. CCA’s mission is to fight for the legal rights of Connecticut’s most vulnerable children. We will keep fighting for all kids, including trans kids, and their right to safety, services, and healthcare.
