Play for Kids! March 29 at Chelsea Piers, Stamford
March 12, 2018
Bridgeport – The Center for Children’s Advocacy will hold their annual Play for Kids! fundraiser at Stamford’s Chelsea Piers on March 29 from 5:30 – 9:30 pm.
The event is sponsored by Datto and the law firm of Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin.
Competing corporate teams include ADP; Beazley Insurance; Datto; Finn, Dixon & Herling; First County Bank; Indeed; Innovative Network Solutions; Lumesis; Merrill Lynch, Greenwich; Octagon; People’s United Bank; Purdue Pharma; Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin; and Xerox.
There is space for two more teams to join this year’s competition. Teams can be corporate, or can be a group of friends and co-workers who join to compete in games including Trampoline Dodgeball, Human Hungry Hippos, Hot Shot Hoops, Marbles to Market and an Obstacle Course Relay.
“This is so much fun and for such a great cause,” says Susan Stein, the Center for Children’s Advocacy’s Director of Development. “Every dollar raised goes to helping kids right in our own communities who are at the greatest risk.”
Attorneys from the Center for Children’s Advocacy work individually with children who have been abused or neglected, those who haven’t been able to get the healthcare or mental health services they need, kids who are victims of racial injustice, or need access to school supports that help them graduate.
“Join us,” says Vinnie LaRocca, who sits on the Center’s Board of Directors. “This event does great things for kids who are in desperate need of help. It is a wonderful and heartwarming evening, and the winning team brings home the trophy!”
