Pro Bono Opportunity for Connecticut attorneys to help youth aging out of DCF care.
Represent Connecticut youth who are aging out of state care and need help to find a safe place to live, stay in school, be secure and have hope for an independent future.
Our own children have our help after they turn 18, often for many more years. They may need emotional, practical and financial support, help applying to school, decision-making guidance, and so much more. It is hard to imagine that a youth of 18 who has been in DCF care for years can suddenly be self sufficient when discharged from care.
Our attorneys and those we train will represent DCF-involved youth (aged 18+) who have received notices discharging them from care.
Training will take place at Pullman & Comley’s Bridgeport office on March 19 and 20, 2019, from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm each day.
